One of the oldest, possibly the oldest, schools in the US, Collegiate school is an all-boys private school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, serving students in grades K-12. It focuses on a college preparatory curriculum, and a high number of its students go on to enroll in highly selective colleges.

Language Options:
Research Options: Advanced students may participate in the Collegiate Science and Engineering Research Program. This is a 1-2 year independent research program where students explore an area of the sciences under faculty guidance.
Advanced Study Options: Collegiate does not offer AP coursework. Instead, they offer their own advanced electives, which aim to introduce students to high level thinking about various themes and topics. Students may also undertake independent study courses under the guidance of a faculty member.
Educational Philosophy: We are committed to academic excellence and the highest standards of scholarship ensuring our boys reach their greatest potential. Our faculty celebrate rigorous yet purposeful work, and personal growth and academic success are nurtured and supported. Our teachers ensure our students feel safe and supported to take risks, fail gracefully, and try again, stretching their learning in creative and innovative ways. As the boys develop executive functioning and advanced academic skills, they become independent and ambitious scholars who understand how to think critically and develop opinions and goals.
Campus Information: Located in a single building in Manhattan, the school separates grades by floor. There are common library, arts, and athletic facilities. The school building is quite new, having just opened in 2018.
Arts Programs: The arts are available through both coursework and extracurriculars.
Athletics: Collegiate offers numerous sports through its athletics department.
Clubs: There are many clubs available at Collegiate, and students are encouraged to begin their own if an existing one doesn’t meet their interests.
