Awty is the only high school in the US to be accredited by the French Ministry of Education, and offers students both the International Baccalaureate and the French Baccalaureate. It is the largest international school in the US, and offers a full bilingual program in French to its students.

Standardized Tests: All candidates to the international program are required to take either the ISEE, or the SSAT with the character skills assessment.

Recommendations: Teacher recommendations are required from English, math, and second language teachers. A current school administrator recommendation is also required.

Other materials: A parent statement and a photo of the applicant are required. You may optionally choose to tour the school.

Note that these are the minimum graduation requirements. We recommend, and colleges prefer to see, that students have taken four years in each of the core academic subjects: Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and a foreign language.
Language Options:
Advanced Study Options: There are fewer choices in terms of advanced extracurricular and core study options due to the nature of the IB curriculum, but IB courses are recognized for their difficulty, and can award college credit based on your exam performance.

Campus Information: Located on 26 acres of land on the West side of Houston, there is a separate 5 acre campus for the early learning students (pre-K through 1st grade). There are separate buildings on the main campus for elementary, middle, and upper school students.
