Jackie earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Leadership degree with a focus on academic technologies, a Master of Art degree in Literature, and a Bachelor of Art in Communications/Film Studies. She has eighteen years of experience teaching as an English Professor, including public speaking and debate training/prep. She served as one of the top four members on the City University of New York Leadership Council for Writing Assessment. This role included test development, the design and execution of administrative training workshops, and curriculum development. She has over ten years of faculty management, training, and leadership. Additionally, she has twenty years of tutoring experience spanning fifteen different universities and six different high schools. Besides working towards high academic achievement, she helped prepare her high school students for college through test prep and college essays for entrance, and helped her college students prepare for graduate school. She is a dedicated educator who believes in meeting students where they are and helping them to get to where they want to go in their education.

Prior to being an educator, Jackie built-out, owned and operated her own business in Midtown Manhattan, NYC for ten years. This invaluable entrepreneurial experience allowed her to live a life of absolute dedication, perseverance, and hands-on application of strategy that she taps into to help motivate and encourage her students.  The blend of her practical experience with her formal education has helped to hone her interpersonal skills in a way to comfortably connect with students of different ages and skill sets.

Her favorite pastime is reading and writing, and all things film-related. She is currently working on publishing a YA book titled _The Cave of Pythagoras_ and a children’s book titled _The Land of Wonderwhy_. She believes that critical thinking encourages creativity, which are two necessary ingredients to live a life in color, regardless of the major studied or the chosen career.
