Transcripts: Both a mid year report card, and the previous year’s report card.

Other materials: A writing sample is required.

Graduation Requirements: 

  • English I, English II, AP English Language, English IV
  • Global Issues in Historical Context, World History II, and United States History
  • Geometry, Algebra II and Precalculus
  • Biology I, Chemistry I, and Physics I
  • Through Level III of a world language
  • Fine arts classes or performing ensembles (one credit)
  • Additional elective courses
  • 17.5 credits is the minimum required to graduate

Note that these are the minimum graduation requirements. We recommend, and colleges prefer to see, that students have taken four years in each of the core academic subjects: Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and a foreign language.

Advanced Study Options: St. John’s offers advanced study options in a number of disciplines. Here are some particularly interesting courses: 

  • Engineering, including introductory courses, robotics, and capstones offered in partnership with UT Austin’s Cockrell School of Engineering. 
  • A scientific research project course, neuroscience, marine science, and anatomy and physiology. 
  • Advanced math, including multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and complex analysis.

Campus Information: St. Johns has a 41 acre campus, split in two. The South portion contains the lower and middle schools, along with the arts center and the athletics center. North contains the upper school, and the main quadrangle.
